Upload a return document

Use Return a document to send a file back to Happl against an assigned policy. The file must pass the portal’s checks and be published before other authorised users can access it.

Before you begin

Broker returns accept CSV, XLS, XLSX and PDF files up to 20 MB. Legacy XLS workbooks are converted to XLSX automatically. Published returns are available to people with policy access, so confirm that the content is appropriate for that audience.

Steps

1. Open the correct policy and select Return a document near the top of the page.

2. Confirm the Policy selection. Check the company and policy name carefully before choosing a file.

3. Select Choose a file and choose the document from your computer. Confirm the filename and file size.

4. Select Upload & publish and keep the dialog open while the file uploads and its checks run.

5. When the dialog closes successfully, confirm that the document appears in the policy’s Documents list. Open it to check that the expected file was published.

6. If all report changes have also been actioned with the insurer, complete the separate Mark as completed process.

Troubleshooting

Button disabled or no policy available: A policy must be assigned to your account. Ask Happl to check access.

Upload interrupted: Check Your pending uploads before uploading another copy. Use Resume publication where available.

Publication failed after upload: Use Retry publication in the dialog, or follow the pending-upload instructions.

Wrong file or policy: Contact Happl promptly with the filename and intended policy. Brokers do not have a document recall control.

If the issue is not resolved

If the document does not appear, contact [email protected] with the policy, filename, format, size, error text and time of upload. Do not assume that a file has been shared until it appears as published.
