Resolve authenticator problems

Use this article when your password is accepted but your authenticator code is rejected, or when you no longer have access to the authenticator registered to Happl.

Before you begin

A code must come from the Happl entry linked to this portal account. Codes change regularly. Resetting your password does not reset MFA, and email or SMS cannot replace the authenticator.

Steps

1. Open the authenticator used during Happl setup and locate the correct Happl account.

2. Wait for a new six-digit code. Enter it promptly in Authenticator code, then select Verify & sign in.

3. If rejected, check that the device generating the code uses automatic date, time and time zone. Correct these settings and try a fresh code.

4. If you have multiple Happl entries, check which belongs to your work account. Do not delete entries while troubleshooting.

5. If you replaced or lost the device, check whether your organisation-approved authenticator backup or transfer restored the Happl entry. If it did not, contact Happl for recovery.

Troubleshooting

1Password does not fill the code: Unlock the extension, open the saved Happl login and copy its current one-time password into the portal.

Setup never completed: A saved QR code is not sufficient. Return to the setup flow and complete the verification step.

Account recovery message or lost device: Stop repeated sign-in attempts and ask Happl to review your access. Installing a new app does not recreate the original code.

Possible compromise: Tell Happl immediately if someone else may have your device or account credentials.

If the issue is not resolved

Email [email protected] with your registered email, brokerage, authenticator app and whether the device is lost or replaced. Happl will need to review the recovery request. Do not send passwords, codes, setup keys or QR-code screenshots.
