Happl allows you to set up one off or reoccurring allowance adjustments to specific employees, this could be to pay for a course off-platform, pro-rata allowances, or to add a pre agreed increase.

Admins and managers have access to make these changes, admins for the entire team, and managers for their direct reports.

Making an adjustment

First head to the allowances section under your admin panel, from here click on the allowance you'd like to make the change to (make sure you select the allowance, not edit).

You'll then be shown a list of employees who are active under this allowance, scroll or search to find the employee you're looking for and click on their profile.

Once on their profile, you'll be able to view their current balance as well as any transaction information related to that card. Click Make adjustment to add a new adjustment.

Making a one-off adjustment

To make a one-off adjustment you'll need to select if this is an increase or decrease, enter the adjustment amount and then enter a name to (e.g AXA Health Insurance). Once you hit continue you'll see this adjustment appear in the transactions list and the balance will have been adjusted.

Making a recurring adjustment

To make a recurring adjustment you can follow the same principals of the one-off adjustment, you'll just need to click the One-off drop down in the adjustment box and select Recurring.

You'll then need to enter the date range in which the adjustment will happen. Recurring adjustments will take place at each renewal of the allowance - for example, if your allowance is released quarterly, the adjustment will be made on the first day of each quarter. If your allowance is annual, this adjustment will be made on 1st Jan. With this in mind, if you'd like the adjustment to take place in the current period, you'll need to add a one time adjustment as well as a recurring adjustment.

If you'd like to connect this adjustment to a benefit you can do so using the benefit drop-down, this pulls from the benefits list you added when signing up to Happl.

Making bulk adjustments

If for any reason you'd like to make allowance adjustments to more than 10 employees, feel free to reach out to [email protected] and we'd be happy to assist you with this!Happl allows you to set up one off or reoccurring allowance adjustments to specific employees, this could be to pay for a course off-platform, pro-rata allowances, or to add a pre agreed increase.
