Adding team members to Happl

Hey there! Glad you're looking to add people to Happl. The process is super simple and you can do this by either using the HRIS integration or by manually adding team members. If you're setting up Happl or have a few people to add - we'd recommend getting your HRIS integration set up, if not - you can easily add team members manually.

Inviting employees via HRIS integration

One thing to flag before we get started ⛳ - depending on your policies you may wish for your team members to only be able to access Happl after probation, or perhaps you're working on getting your benefits set up still and want to wait to send out those invites.

If this is the case, we'd recommend heading to your Preferences under your admin Settings and making sure the Auto-invite employees box is unchecked. This means you're able to pull the data in without notifying the team via email. Check out this article to learn more about preferences!

Set up your HRIS integration

To do this, head to Settings, then Integrations and click Connect.

You'll then be presented with a list of our active integrations. We work with over 50+ providers thanks to our partnership with merge.dev. If you can't see your provider on

the list just give us a message and we'll see if we can make this possible!

Select your provider from the list and follow the instructions to get them connected to our workflows. Once you have done this you'll be able to see your team in 'People & Groups'.

If you have 'auto-invite employees' activated

Upon activating your integration, Happl will automatically send out emails to your team inviting to sign-in to the Happl platform. Once invited team members will be able to create and log-in to their accounts at app.happl.com.

If you have 'auto-invite employees' disabled

Upon activating your integration, all of the team data will be availiable within the Happl platform. You'll be able to view your team in the people & groups section and create custom allowances before you officially launch Happl to your team.

Ready to invite your team?

Head to people & groups and select all of the team members you want give access to, from here you can click invite in the bottom right corner and send out the invitations to these users.

Inviting team members manually

If you have just a few members to add or aren't currently using a HR platform you can easily add members to Happl manually. Simply head to people & groups and click invite people in the top right corner

From here all you need to do is add the emails, separating each email with a comma. Once you hit done the email invites will be sent out to the team.

Please note that members added manually will not have all of the data populated until the team member has finished their onboarding. If you'd like to add these details for them, select a profile on the people & groups page and hit edit to update.
